Delicious Autumn
Who needs autumn in New England when you can experience the blazing leaf displays at Westonbirt Arboretum?
We want visitors to Tetbury to indulge their senses – both visual and taste this autumn: visit Westonbirt Arboretum and become immersed in the Colour Circle - planted in the mid 1800s for holding annual champagne ‘colour parties’; breathe the air scented with mouth-watering caramel from the Katsura trees; and marvel at the kaleidoscope of colours provided by the maples, beeches spindles and hickory.
And, when your senses have been overwhelmed visually (and your legs are weary), you can return to our walk-around open fire, relax with a glass of wine or local ale and let your taste-buds run riot. We have committed ourselves to buying food from within 30 miles of Tetbury, so autumn is a joy for us!
Right here on our Cotswolds doorstep, we have a natural larder overflowing with the highest quality local produce. So, what better time of year to come and sample the work of: dairy farmers turned ice-cream or cheese makers; traditional flour millers; organic fruit and vegetable growers; honey and jam makers; gamekeepers that share recipes at the kitchen door; artisans devoted to growing vines for sparkling English wines or picking from far-flung brambles to create amazing liqueurs; and farmers who graze ducks and chickens on the banks of The River Wye. We get a kick out of show-casing the fruits of their hard work by developing simple dishes which don’t have an ego!
The price of our Delicious Autumn package is just £138.00 for a double or twin room for one night between Sunday and Thursday and £169.00 for a double or twin room for one night on a Friday or Saturday. These prices include an unrestricted three course dinner and tickets for 2 people to Westonbirt Arboretum. The offer will run into November depending on when the leaves are finished - check the Arboretum's website for leaf updates.
Call us to make a booking - bring some good walking shoes, chunky jumpers and a good appetite!
